Guage Reducers

I was looking through Cabela's and I saw these things, but it says "not for use with pumps or semi-autos". Is there a product out there that does the same thing for pump shotguns? I have an 870 if it makes a difference.

I doubt it, because to make these work you have to put the reducer in the chamber, when you pump the gun it will kick it out.

Typically they are only used for Trap and Skeet Shooters and the full barrel length cylinder are the best and come in sets. (.410, 28ga, 20ga, ect) Over/Under guns probably the only worth while to use them on. From what I've seen anyone with these isn't as good of shot as they think and don't really need the challenge of smaller guages.

They probably make them for 870 if you wanted, but they would cost much more than the gun.

According to the manufacturer, the Silver Gauge Mate adapter will work in some pump guns. Go here:http://www.gauge-mate.com/index.htm

Everything I have read about them is not very positive any way. Some of them work (some don't) but the patern and accuracy of shooting a smaller shell just isn't there I guess. Not worth the money from what I have heard. And some tend to stick in the bore I guess.
