Savage are great for the price, but Tikka are simply great.
As for the caliber theres no way to answer if we don't know what you intend to shoot at.

I must chime in. Tikka T3. I bought one last year in stainless, 243 and haven't looked back. It will shoot 3 shots into one ragged hole if you want it to. The trigger is awesome, the bolt is like butter, all in all after 1 year of hard use it is a great gun. The only gun I have had that compares to it, is the Browning A-Bolt.

here's a thought. Go with the cheaper one. Savage rifles have a fantastic following and are known for stellar accuracy and functionality. The 110s are a perfect example of this, many people shoot sub MOA groupings at 100 yards. that being said, lets be realistic. if you're hunting for deer, you have a kill zone that's about a third of the size of the deer's cavity, now, even if you trail about 5 inches max at 100 yards, if you are aiming correctly, you're going to kill a deer. Often times on the internet people become overly picky about the groupings. all you need to do is pick one of the guns, and $$$ is a good reason to pick a cheaper one! besides, whichever one is the more accurate, the other one can't me more than a dime's diameter worse in any direction. No matter what you choose, if you aim at the right spot, that deer is going to crumple!

both tikka and savage are very very accurate. I myself am a huge savage fan. but if the tikka was cheaper, i'd buy it.

both guns will most likely make you extatic anyway. have fun!

The Savage 110 is a good bit cheaper even in the package form, and the scope is usable. The Accu-Trigger is great as is accuracy. Work the bolt a bunch and lube it up and it's plenty smooth.

I have to chime in again on my Tikka(s). When I bought my T3 Lite in 25-06 and took it to the range to sight it in the action was so smooth I thought I had a malfunction. I couldn't even feel the bolt strip a cartridge out of the magazine. When I racked the bolt, out flew the round. This happened about three times before I got used to the smooth action. Accuracyis outstanding. Here is one of the sight-in targets from that day. Oh, and the others look the same way.

Tikka. And of those choices the 270 would be a great round. I agree I don't like the T3 with their one magazine for all concept but other than that they are one of few rifles with a 1 MOA guarentee and the slickest bolt I've ever felt plus a match-grade trigger as good as I've felt.

I am A savage man. But After seeing what you guys have said about the T3, I may get one of to see what the deal is. I also like the idea of having something different than the other 200 remington 700's at deer camp.

I am extremely happy with my T3.

Among the calibers you selected, and assuming it's going to be used for whitetailed deer, I would go with the 270.

Good luck,
