Leupold Scope Covers

Hi I have a Leupold Vari-x III that is about 10 yrs old and I was wondering if the new Luepold Flip-Back covers will fit on my scope.

Thanks-Bobby

I don't know about Leupold brand flip up covers (I haven't seen them). I am positive you'll find the right size in the Butler Creek brand (a very common brand). That's what I use on my brand new scope and my 20 year old Leupy.

Looking at Leupold wet site, the new Alumina Flip-back Lens covers will not fit. They are made for 2004 and newer but you can send your scope in for retrofit threading. Check out the link for more info if your interested.

Yes I know that the Butler creek ones will fit but I would like the Leupold ones because they screw in.

Sorry about that. I wasn't aware that there was a screw in type. My Leupold is so old it doesn't have that feature. Looks like you got a good answer to your question.
