Default RE: WHATS A BDL?

Usually the adl has a blind magazine while the bdl has either a hinged floorplate or a detachable magazine.

What Stubbie said, and the BDL's are a little finer finished! actions and barrels are the same quality as the ADL's though.

Along with what the others have said, "origionally" all BDL's came with a Rem. sling in the box, ADL's didn't. Many dealers would take the sling out, and sell it seperately. Another trick was to tell the customer they would "throw it in" to make you a better deal!

Also the "only" ADL's and BDL's that didn't have iron sights were the Varmiters and target models...

Don't know what's happening these days...

not arguing with ya stubble but thats kinda weird because the only 3 ADL's Ive ever seen were all detach mags. Im not a big green fan so I can only go by what Ive seen.

All of the ADL's i've seen are as stubble said, but keep in mind that on many of the 700 models the parts they are made of will interchange inbetween models.

I changed out one of my BDL's to a detach magazine long before Rem. was offering it on there models.

I've never seen a ADL with anything else but a blind mag!
