Scope Question???

I am considering trading my slightly used Bushnell Elite 3200 with Rainguard for a Burris Fullfield II Ballistic plex scope. Both are 3-9X40.

The scopes are in the same price range, i just do not know of the quality of burris scope. Are they any good? Or as good as Bushnell Elite's?

RE: Scope Question???

Burris scopes are pretty good scopes but I would just keep the Bushnell.

If you like the 3200,why not just keep it?

RE: Scope Question???

The Burris Fullfield's with the BP reticle are hard to beat. The BP takes all the guesswork out of long range shots. I have a 4X14 on my Sako '06 and can shoot 3 1/2 inch groups at 400 yards all day long. I have a 3X9 on my black powder rifle zeroed at 50 , first peg is 100, 2d is 150 and third is 200. Last season, I shot a doe at 375 yards. The deer never moved other than straight down. I always carry a rangefinder cause unless you know the range, the BP is useless. Regards, Rick.

You answered your own question;)! Optically they are similar so if you have need for the BP reticle and no need for the elite then make the trade. However if the trade isn't worth it, you could always buy the burristhen keep the elite for another rifle or as a back up!
