are Savage triggers adjustable??
I just bought a .223 and need to have a lighter trigger pull, I was just wondering if I could do that myself... I'm getting under an inch at 100 yds with remington 50g ballistic tips... but it seems like I have to pull awful hard to get the gun to go off... any info is appreciated...thanks.

RE: are Savage triggers adjustable??
As far as I know Savage has two diffent trigger types on their rifles. One is adjustable for weight and sear engagement, the other is only adjustable for weight. The weight adjustment really won't take it down that much and if you fool with the sear engagement you might end up with a very dangerous situation. I suggest taking it to a gunsmith.

Not to mention if something goes wrong and requires warranty in that 1st year, it is void. I would suggest taking it to a gunsmith or to where you picked it up and seeing if they can help you out.

Savage triggers can be adjusted but not enough to notice.

This is a site to adjust the trigger...not worth the effort! Look at a Timney Trigger's,thats what I put on mine and it shoots great...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
