RE: 450 Marlin

I just shot my 450 at the range sunday, I am very impressed by the way it shoots factory ammo----at 100 yards I shot(with scope)2-3 shot groups .
2 shots were almost touching and the third 1/2 inch away---both times (my buddy had similar results with his)----put that rifle away & on to the next.

good luck

2 moa is plenty of accuracy for a rifle and cartridge designed to shoot at a maximum range of 200 yards. This compares to a 1moa rifle at 400 yards. Also remember there is more to hunting accuracy than how well your rifle shoots off sand bags. Balance and quick handling matter when you're woods hunting and a lever gun really works well in that regard.

I have a timber carbine in 45/70 with Buffalo Bore this has been a very good combo for 150yds and under. But there is a price to be paid the rifle kills on both ends
