Picked up my new Browning Buckmark.22

I finally made a decision and bought the Browning Buckmark.22 I was trying to decide between the Ruger Sigle-Six and the Buckmark. After considering this firearm would be mostly used at an indoor range in the off season months I decided that it would mostly be for fun. A target shooter, plinker, ect.... I thought that reloading the Ruger could get to be a chore and tale some of the fun out of it. I'm going to the range now to try it out. I'll let you know how it shoots!

i just got one last week shot it twice so far...i love it!its a great little gun...great for shooting pop cans and swinging targets...only problem ive had ws with the remington ammo...the firing pin would strike and it didnt ignite...but thats what you get for ammo that cheap..only like 3 out of 400 did it to me....my dad bought himslef a ruger mark II...he was like a little kid! he was amazed how fun they are to shoot...i feel a bunch of contests coming up between us and our new toys! i still like the buckmark...after i get shooting it more i will get better(i dont get out to shoot pistols alot so dads groups are tight..mine are tight but not real tight...after a few mags i can see them shrinking..just takes practice like everything....hope you love yours like i love mine!

F4YG Good Luck with your new toy.I bought a Browning Buckmark from a friend at work last year. It's like new ,but has a couple small marks for 125.00.The Ruger Single Six will be around for many years to come. You'll have plenty of time to pick one up.I think you made a good choice, since you'll be shooting in indoors in the off season. In past discussions comparing the Ruger MKII and the Browning Buckmark both are excellent pistols. My favorites are the S&W M-41 and the Old High Standard "Victor" which you don't see that often and are getting very costly..... RR, yeah I'm real happy with the Browning I shot it today and was surprised at the accuracy and the trigger pull was pretty good for a factory gun. I do have a soft spot for the single-six revolvers, but now that I have the .22 pistol I can come up with an excuse for a Single-six in .32 m.

I don't think you can have too many .22 handguns. I shot my buckmark this weekend. First time in quite awhile. I've been shooting my ruger 22/45 and my single-six alot the last couple of years. I'd forgotten how smooth the browning is. Great guns all of them!!!

F4YG, Glad to hear you're happy with your new Browning. You and I think along the same lines.I've been wanting a Ruger Single Six in 32 Mag too! They are awful pricey. MSRP is around 535.00 of course they can be had for allot less then that doing a little looking.I like the new "Birds head" grip frame. Not sure if the 32 Mag comes in that frame or not.If it does that would be the one I'll shoot for.Have a safe hunting season. Ruger Redhawk
