Those poor misguided 223 guys
As a coyote hunter I constantly run a crossed want a be coyote hunters. Those are the guys who think the rifle for the hunt is a 223. I feel sorry for them as they either can’t read or are too stupid to understand a basic ballistic chart. The only caliber is a 22-250. It greatly surpasses a 223, not even close. So for all you guys heading out the door for the first time coyote hunt be one step ahead of the “poor 223 guys”!

RE: Those poor misguided 223 guys
I usually get close enough to where I don't need the added range of a 22-250.
that or maybe I'm too stupid to read a balistic chart. poor guys that can't call. |
RE: Those poor misguided 223 guys
i use a .243 for coyote, and a back up deer rifle...i like it...

RE: Those poor misguided 223 guys
nothing wrong withthe .223,they have been taken with 22 mags,.17
the -250 gives more distance,thats all |
RE: Those poor misguided 223 guys
Please don't let the coyotes in on that little secret. All the ones I have killed with the 223 might come back to life. I have used the 223 since it came out and used the 222 before that.

RE: Those poor misguided 223 guys
JAMES, CAN YOU COMPAIR THE 222 AND .223,MUCH DIFF.?
|
RE: Those poor misguided 223 guys
Dang and those really poor guys that use a shotgun to kill them must be really really stupid.
Or maybe they are just that much better at getting close than brusser is. ;) |
RE: Those poor misguided 223 guys
UMMMM....
WHAT???!!!??? Don't tell that to all of the coyotes that have been killed with the smaller calibers -22 Mag, 22 Hornet, 222 Remington, and many others which have less reach than even the .223 does!! |
RE: Those poor misguided 223 guys
I really feel sorry for all those so called misguided "hunters" that can't call them in. I agree with James, don't tell all of those yotes I killed with a 222 or a 223 that they don't work. I won't even get into the two I killed with my hornet.
Naconst- I couldn't tell much difference with the 222 and the 223 in terms of performance. Only difference I saw was 222 ammo was getting very hard to find, and I didn't reload at the time. I had a Remmy 722 that was an absolute tack driver. One of the few guns I regret selling. |
