The 7mm!!!!!!
 

What is the best 7mm out there? All of them count. Some guys had an argument at work today about this so need some opinions.

I don't know much about this caliber so I don't have an opinion on this. Just would like to see how people think about this.

Most will say the 7MM Rem Mag but my pick would be the 280 Remington. Second choice 7MM-08. Third choice 7x57 Mauser.

I personally own two 7mmstws but the 7mmremmag is a better choice for most people.

Best is too subjective to have a black and white answer.
I like the 280, 7mm-08 and 7 x57. I'm not a big 7mm Rem Mag guy but a lot of people buy it, use it and love it so I can't agrue that it's not the best.

The 7WSM, 7WBY and even the 7-30 Waters all have people that swear by them.....who's too say that one of these or one of the less popular 7's, like the 284 Win, isn't the best.

Best for what?

Quick shots in the thick woods then the 7-30 Waters or the 7mm Mauser would probably be the best.

All around 7mm that would cover hunting in thick woods to relatively long shots up to 350 - 400 yards then I would pick the 7mm-08 or the 280 Remington.

Regularly shooting at animals beyond 500 yards then I would opt for a 7mm STW or Remington ultra mag.

Best 7mm? Best at what?
Not the fastest, but my favorite, is the old 7mm Mauser (7x57). Next would be the 280Remington.
If you like small bore magnums, the 7mmRemington Mag. is hard to beat.
I don't much care for the 7mm-08 or the 7-30Waters, nor the 284Win.
No use whatever for the WSM's, RUM's, or SAUM's - just a lot of hype to sell more rifles.

I would have to agree with the 7MM Rem Mag but I would prefer the 7MM-08 because of less recoil.
