Rossi Hand guns ?

I don't shoot hand guns but would like to try it!I can't spend a bundle of money and the Rossi I saw was in my price range???If they are not very good,I don't want to buy a junk weapon.
So,hit me with the thoughts,on these.
It is a 357/stanless/6 inch barrel!

RE: Rossi Hand guns ?

10yrs ago I bought my son a Rossi 971 SS .357Mag
and he has shot 20 boxes of ammo thru it with no
problems. I don't think it's made anymore under the
Rossi name. All of mine are Rugers, but you asked
aboutan affordable gun and the Rossi's did have a low
price on them, but don't know about now.

I have an old rossi 38 spl that I rarely shoot and it seems ok. I just dont get big thrills from handgun shooting. I would reccomend a rossi for a person wanting a good handgun. EJ

my dad and i looked at a 38 with a 4 or 6" barrel. it seemed like a nice gun with a low price. but we didn't buy it so i can't really help you i guess.

The Rossi's from back in the 70's weren't anything to write home about. The newer one's are supposedly decent. My understanding Taurus owns Rossi.I would save up a little longer and get a Ruger GP 100 or look for a used Security Six.I'm no longer a S&W fan but one of their "K or L" frames would be a good investment.

RE: Rossi Hand guns ?

I owned a Rossi .38 special snub. Absolutely no problems. Had it for years and probably put over 2000 rounds through it. Bought it for $299 and could not have been happier. Only got rid of it to help pay for another weapon I wanted. I would have no problem recommending these guns to anyone.
