.270 wsm
 

I am thinking about picking up a new rifle and I keep looking at the .270wsm for hunting whitetail and hogs. I have a ruger in .30-06. I would like to get another ruger or a savage. Any suggestions?

Hello, I have a 270wsm in a A-Bolt browing ,, and It shoots great, I really like it alot, I feel with good ammo It would be more than enough gun to take elk at magum ranges, as for deer I shoot 150gr win bilistic tip and they kill deer dead, my girlfreind shot her first deer with our 270wsm, on her first hunt so the kick isnt to bad, she is not all that big of a person... I would not even heistate to by a 270wsm, I also have a a-bolt 300wsm, and we each have 270 bars, great guns also, next gun will be for my daughter,a 7-08 ,, well good luck,, on paper a 270wsm will do every thing a 30-06 will do and it will shoot alot flater .................. also there are alot more bullets being made know for the 270wsm, so it looks like the win short mags are here to stay,, unlike the remmington shot ultra mags ..................
