hey guys want to get an 06 for deer hunting and black bear what type would you get pump action bolt.. remington you know tell me what one you would get don't want to spend a whole lot of money

I bought a winchester model 70 with a scope attached for $389.00 2 years ago @ wallyworld (wall mart). They still sell them for about the same price. So far Iv'e killed 2 Elk and 1 Cougar w/it. I love it.

On average the bolt will probably be slightly more accurate although those 7600 pumps often shoot 1.5" groups. The pumps are unquestionably quicker on second shots. If you already hunt with a pump shotgun especially with an 870 I would go with the pump. That way the rifle willfunction thesame as the shotgun and will besecond naturetooperate.
