My New Rifle!
 

I just thought id post a picture of my new rifle. She'sa model 70 300 wsm. I received an enormous amount of great advice from everyone here and i wanted to say thanks. I've only got another month over here in the sandbox and then ill be back just in time for deer season in wisconsin. we came over here in mid-nov last year so that killed that season. im trying to look into taking a trip to colorado next year for an elk hunt. its been a dream of mine for some time now. anyways, thanks again for all the great advice from everyone here. good hunting! dave

I am also from WI and currently in the sand box. I hunted last year, but I will miss it this year. Where are you from, and where do you hunt? Have a safe trip home and good luck with your new rifle!

hey pig dog, good to hear from another wi native thats over here. im at fob o' ryan. just a little dinky battalion sized fob five miles south of lsa anaconda. im originally from neenah and do my deer hunting on a relatives land just west of steven's point. take care and keep your head down...dave

I am from Racine...I hunt in Dodge County on my uncle's farm and in another area near Wild Rose. Stationed at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, and currently hanging out in Mosul. Good luck with that new rifle.

nice rifle, sounds like we are neighbore, I'm over in Fort Tal Afar, west of you a ways... I'm stationed at Ft Carson, but obviuosly spending Hunting Season in the sand box...
