Mini 14, $350 too much?
While looking at Scheels I found a Mini 14 that has been considerably used as it has spray painted camo with wear marks but the action seems to slide smoothly. How accurate are these things as it probably would be used for PDs up to 200-250 yards if it is capable of doing so.

A realy good one can go for 450-550 Dollars. If it is realy beat up it might worth 250 dollars, But i wouldn't pay more than that. If your are going to be shooting 200 to 250 don't buy this gun. I had a bran new one that had a hard time hitting a 6'' disk at 100 yards.

Tits on a boar are worth more than a Mini 14.....accuracy is about 10" at 100 yards and trigger pulls aren't adjustable easily.....it's easier to drag a deer out of the woods than pull the trigger on a mini.
There are folks that do a magnificient job of accurizing them and they're really good after the additional expense.

Myself, I wouldn't pay more than $200 for it in that condition. It's a Carbine not really meant to be accurate at 100 yards. It's for close range, mostly for protection IMO. I guess you could use it on small game close up.

Buy a Yugo SKS. You'll get a comparable (if not better) rifle for less money chambered in a cheap to shoot cartridge where the accuracy will be the same or better.
