Default Rossi guns

AreRossi guns a good choice. I'm looking at a .22LR and 20 guage. It is a gun with interchangeable barrels. It will be for my grandson as a christmas present. Just wanting to know if it is a wise choice. Thanks, Brian

I really dont know anyone who has a Rossi-And i havent heard all that much about them. Personally i have had 2 both new . A 1892? 357 lever action- that i have shot very little( it had to be sent back to the factory for repair). Before that i bought the same rifle in 44 mag- fired it 2 x,s & it stoped working- so i took it back& didnt want a replacement or it repaired.

Maybe some of there other firearms are better or i just had bad luck- i dont know.
Is the rifle your talking about like the H& R - single shots? I have 2 of them & so far so good& they shoot decent.

Me personaly if so id get the H&R instead.

Good luck with whatever you choise.

My nephew has a Rossi SS in .223. I suggested to my brother that he buy an NEF instead, but he bought the Rossi. Not a bad rifle...kinda ugly, but shoots quite well. I do have a Rossi SXS 12 bore that I am happy with.

Thanks guys, but I got to be honest with you. I have never heard of the guns you are talking about. Are they interchangeable barrels? Where can I find out more about these guns?

The guns the guys are talking about are NEF (New England Firearms) also know as H&R

Here is their websitehttp://www.hr1871.com/index.htm

I don't know much about Rossi but have had fair success with NEF
