Wet firearms

I live in Miami FL and as a result of Hurricane Katrina I had 5 inches of water in my home and my 1100 Rem, 835 Ulta Mag and an old 16 ga.Ithica pump werein a gun cases under a bed. They werein several inches of water for about 15 hours. I tookthem out driedthem and cleaned them several days later when I got a chance. What should I do to ensure that it will operate properly? Most likely they will need blueing due to rust and rustin the mechanisms. Can someone suggest a reputable repair shop I can sendthem to? Thanks

RE: Wet firearms

Very sorry to hear about the hurricane I would say if you spray the guns inside and out with Birchwood and Casey Sheath to prevent rusting while you look for a gunsmith to check the guns over good they will probably be ok i hope this helps chad
