RE: Benelli SBE II slug barrel????
Gundigest, is your gun drilled and tapped? Or are you planning on getting the cantilever barrel?

RE: Benelli SBE II slug barrel????
The SBE II slug barrel is drilled and taped, I don't know if the bird barrel is.

RE: Benelli SBE II slug barrel????
I believe what you are refering to is the cantilever barrel. (meaning there is a scope mount directly attached to the barrel.)
That is always the prefered method of attaching a scope to a barrel when the barrel is not rigidly fixed to the receiver. That should give you pretty good accuracy... |
RE: Benelli SBE II slug barrel????
On the SBE II the top of the reciver is part of the barrel. It is not a cantilever barrel. Click on the picture on the benelli link http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/accessories-barrels.tpl It is drilled and tapped for scope mounts though. The scope stays with the barrel so it works under the same principle as a cantilever.

RE: Benelli SBE II slug barrel????
no problem, its not a common design, I can see why you thought I was talking about a cantilever barrel.
