Smart Purchase?
Just bought a "new" sako 75 barrel chambered in 7mmSTW for around 60 dollars. Said the customer took it off right when he bought it and and put a Shilen on. I know, thats crazy. But figured when I shoot mine out, just have this put on. Good idea?

RE: Smart Purchase?
Anyone ever use one of those hand reamers? I have done some minor smith work, but was reading that article in American rifleman where he set his own headspace. I just am rather hesitate as I would think it would be so easy to get your chamber out of round with that reamer. I don't have any problems breaking a barrel, but wouldn't mind taking it to a good smith to cut the barrel back. I know some are on here saying, if your going to take to a gunsmith, might as well have him ream it properly.

RE: Smart Purchase?
I have never tried it but many of the guys on the NEF site rent reamers or go together and buy one and pass it around. They seem to have good successs doiung so. You are right though if it were mine I would take it to a good Smith. However if its something you want to try, you don't have a lot invested. With me, if there is any way to screw something up, I am sure to do it.:D
