All-around shotgun
I am looking for an all-around shotgun for turkey/deer/sporting clays. I would prefer an over/under model of some sort. Can anyone give me some ideas?

RE: All-around shotgun
an over under for deer is tough....but if you look in to semi's check out the browning gold hunter & fusion

RE: All-around shotgun
i have a gold hunter 31/2", i love it. it is a sweet gun, but no deer hunting with it. i mainly hunt dove but am looking forward to turkey and goose, mainly just so i can shoot the 3 1/2" mags, i havent got to yet.

RE: All-around shotgun
Mossberg 835 has fully rifled deer barrels ,3 1/2" capability and screw in chokes.

RE: All-around shotgun
My browning citori is the only browning I would buy again. It is a well made gun and I shoot it better than any other shotgun.

RE: All-around shotgun
My suggestion is to buy two guns ,one for clays & trap and one for hunting .

RE: All-around shotgun
i'll 3rd a browning.... either a browning gold or bps. both are built extremely tough. also if u want a pump look into an ithaca shotgun. they're pretty reliable. or if u wanna be cheaper get a winchester 1300..

Just my opinion, but it's hard to go wrong with a Remington 870 combo. It comes with a deer barrel and a 28in barrel w/tubes. Best all around buy I've ever seen all for around $300....

RE: All-around shotgun
Thanks all for the help. Looks like I'll be taking a trip to the store to check out the Remington 870, the Browning Gold and the Mossberg 835.

RE: All-around shotgun
If you want a pump gun go ithaca..ive had my two for 30 and 50 years and they are still shooting like they did the day they were out of the box. they are a smaller company so you will get alot better quality...all the parts are still made of steel too. and extra barrels are so numerous you can find them anywhere. it is simply the best pump gun...the browning bps is a coppy of the ithaca
