which shotgun?

Hey I am looking for a new Semi-auto shotgun and I am looking into the Charles Daly or the Traditions ALS2100. I found both of them used for under 300 and they are in good condition. I was wondering which one I should get.I want a shotgun under 400 and I might get a pump if I can find a good deal.

I have a 12 gauge semi-auto charles daly thats about 15 years old. It has worked well for me and I really like how it fits me shoulder. I don't know about the Traditions ALS2110.

Look at the Mosburg 935 it is 3 1/2" and it is about $400-$500.

Of the two you mentioned, the Traditions is a far better gun.

Don't go too cheap on an auto. There are some real good inexpensive models. The Stoeger 2000, Traditions ALS 2100, and Verona SX405. They are pretty reliable, well made, light in weight, and versatile. The Traditions ALS 2100 which is based of the Beretta 303 design used to be marketed as the Stoeger Luger until Beretta bought out Stoeger and marketed the 2000.

I'm kinda a believer in the "get what you pay for" adage. That said, I'd start with nothing less than the 1100. Personally, I like the Benelli line. They just fit be best.

Personally I wouldn't pay 300 for a used charles daily. Maybe new, but not used. Just my opinion though.

With 400 dollars for a shotgun id........

For upland game id go with an 870 wingmaster.

For waterfowl id go with an 870 sps super mag.

There aint nothin wrong with a good pump shotgun.

400 is too little to spend to get a good autoloader. The remington's are pretty good, i own two of them (11-87 20 gauge, (11-87 sps super mag). Theyll run you about 600 at the cheapest probably. The benellis are awesome, I have one (super black eagle). Thatll probly cost ya about a grand.
