Remington Xp 100 .221 cal.

I'm going to an auction this saturday and there is one of these for sale what would be a good price to pick one up for. I know the owner now and he told me it was in good shape. I do assume that it is a .221 fireball but the flier doesn't say and i forgot to ask the owner.

as far as i know that's the only .221 caliber. i'm pretty sure the xp 100 was only made in the .221 fireball. it's supposed to be a pretty accurate and really good varmit cartridge.

is the xp-100 the same as the newer xr-100? if not how do they differ?
