Some people like these Jam-o-matics.I would never own another one. I had two 742's in 30-06. I was never impressed with them. Accuracy wasn't the best. On occasions they like to jam. I sold both and never looked back.If you want a semi auto spend more and get yourself a Browning BAR.

my 742 in 308. never lets me down. even in minus 20 caribou hunting. guess i got a good one or that caliber works good with the action.

back from the range I got some winchester 100gr power point what a diff. shot 3 group of 3 the first was 1.0inch the sec. was 1.0 inch the third was 3/4 of a inch it is a keeper.
