What is the best Weatherby factory bullet in a 180 gr

My remington 700 classic in 300 Weatherby was fond of Federal Trophy Bonded BearClaws in 180 gr.Accurated and devistating on game.

Since I reload all my ammo, I don't really know what sort of factory ammo is out there now for the .300 Wby.I'd say if you can find something with any of the following bullets loaded in it you'll be okay for just about anything:

Barnes Triple Shock
Nosler Partition
Nosler Accubond
Hornady Interbond
Speer Grand Slam
Trophy Bonded Bear Claw

Try some of each to see what shoots best in your rifle. I like a very stout bullet in my .300 Wby (like the ones listed above) because I often have shot opportunities of very short range. Lately my bullet of choice has been the 168gr. Barnes Triple Shock.

Weatherby ammo is pricey,try Federal or Remington.
As for a weatherby loading 180 NP is about the best.

Solitary - it sounds like you know your bullets. How does the terminal performance of the 168 TSX compare to the regular Barnes X?

Weatherby offers the 180 Barnes Xbullet for the 300.

I am putting 150 TSXs in my 300 Wby (handloads), but the 180 X will do great!

Wby uses,nosler,hornady,sierra bullets in there factory ammo. vangunsmith

Roskoe, I wish I could answer that for you, but I never used a Barnes bullet before they came out with the Triple Shock. I believe, but am not sure, that somewhere on Barnes' website there's a discussion on how the TSX is different from previous Barnes bullets.
