Sims Barrel Deresonator

Has anyone used this product yet? I saw it advertised the other day, and checked-out their website. If it works it would be well worth the $19.95 MSRP!!!!

Do a search on it on this site, someone tried it and it either didn't work or made it worse.

Most of my rifles shoot fine, but the ole 742 could use some improvement. I've yet to shoot it since the last, and only really, really good cleaning sinceI bought it. Just wondering.

Crigg, that was my post. I did get one of these at Gander Mtn. I put it on my Browning Micro Hunter that was shooting about 2" groups with whatever I put thru it.. I tried it near the stock and near the muzzle, and a few places in between. It actually made the rifle shoot worse. Just for giggles, I put it on my Ruger 77 300 win mag and it didn't do anything - probably cause of the heavier barrel on the Ruger. I took it back, got my money back and took the little Browning to the gunsmith and had him bed the action. It cost me a whopping $25 but the last time out it shot groups from 3/4" up to 1". And I don't have that unsightly looking rubber on the barrel. (to be honest though, I was using handloads - and the Sims commercial does say it improves accuracy using factory ammo....yeah right!!)

Someone in one of the other areas of the forum said that it worked for him. So you will probably have to try it with your rifle to see if it works for you.
