I know these guns are very similar.. but which would you choose if you had to make the choice? I can get either of these for a really great price... but wanted to see what you guys thought?

I would get the one that had the features I wanted at the best price. As far as I can tell, they are basically the same gun. One has a W and the other has the Buckmark.

I have the golds and really like em. Got one in a slug and one in a shotgun. But also really like the 1187. Can't beat the price on 1187, bottom line. Winchester shotguns don't sit too well with me in the past 16 years. Seen some problems. Might got em worked out but who knows. They ain't flying off the shelves like the 1187 and golds are.

Both guns share some parts like the gas systems. The SX2 has a high rib while the Gold has a low rib. The Gold has more features like a magazine cutoff, speed load, and a larger triangle safety. They also cost about $100.00 over the SX2. If you don't want the extra features and like the high rib get the the SX2, otherwise get the Gold. Eirther way is a good choice.
Both have a $100.00 rebate till the end of November.
I'd take a SX2 or Franchi 912 over an 11-87 any day. They are priced similar, but much better in terms of reliabilty, quality, features, weight and balance.
