.325 Short Magnum
 

I was just wondering about this cartridge and if anyone has got a opportunity to try it. I was wondering about the ballistics of this round also. If anyone has any info I appreciate it. Thanks :D;):)

well from the winchester booklet it said that it "as fast as a300wm and hits as hard as a 338"(well something close to that don't quite remember it)

I havn't seen one yet. Should be a good big game caliber. I am sure that I will like it better than the 338.

And her is the 338wm pretty close comparison(I have no clue y i didn't do a comparison on the 325wsm)

OK, JamesB, I just gotta know why this round appeals more to you than the older .338?

James don't like the .338 thats why.:D:D

The .325 looks to be a good round,will offer a nice spot between the 300 and the .338.
As for powr and what not it's very similar to the .338 but cannot match the .338 with the upper end weights.It should be a good elk/bear round.
Oh yeah its a 8mm diamiter bullet .323 dia.

I would much rather have a .338 due to the much better bullet selection available.

Me Too. But give me a 2232, a 270 and a 375 H&H. I could handle everything on earth except where sub 40 calibers are not legal.

My personal belief is that the market is over saturated with deer rounds. If the american bison and grizzly had their original numbers and range (dream on, biscuit) then I think we would see a whole lot more on the over-30 cal market.

Course you couldn't cross the interstate out west or put out garbage, either.

The .325 WSM is right between a .300 WM and a .338 WM.
They couldnt make a .338 WSM because the bullet from a .338 would be too big for the WSM case, thus it wouldnt have the power that a .338 should have.
