S&W Model 10000
I was wondering if anyone had any info on the S&W model 1000 auto shotgun.
I just got one in good shape, when were they made? What is it worth? Was it a reliable shotgun? It is light and aims well, i have not shot it yet. Thanks in advance. |

they are pretty decent guns, they were made in japan by HOWA, i believe sometime in the mid 80's mossberg bought out the patents. asfar as value goes they go for about 200 dollars in fair condition and about $250 for good condition and about $275 for excellent condition. hope this helps

RE: S&W Model 10000
I think you will like your gun. I have had one for over 15 years and have killed about everything that I have hunted with this gun. Mine came with three barrels. One had rifled sights for deer, one was a shorter modified choke and one was a longer full choke. The rifled sight barrels are getting very hard to come by so if that isn't what yours came with you could have a hard time finding one. These guns have a plastic or rubber seal that seals the gases off to eject the shells that tends to go bad over time so if your gun starts to not eject shells you might want to look at getting these seals replaced. Usually it starts with the lighter trap loads. There are definately better guns but this model isn't bad for a less expensive auto.
