i finally gave in.
 

i'm always disagreeing with people about the .17 hmr and what it is good for. everybodys says you have to try one before you talk about it. well i finally broke down and bought one. still have not figured out what i am going to use it for but i picked up a savage stainless on composite. it is a match to the .22 mag i bought about a month ago. they look like brothers sitting in the cabinet together. now i will have some ammo to throw back. being good or bad. i ran two boxes of shells threw it last night and it seems to shoot pretty good groups after i tighted the stock down even. i was only shooting 40 yards but the groups were about the size of a dime or less. can't wait to see how it does out in the hay fields. i know one thing. we are going to have less crows around here. :)

I said the same thing when my friend bought one,but found out that they work real well with ground squirells up to 225 is the farthest we shot them but it was a shooter. vangunsmith
