Whew! You really had me worried for a minute there, BC. I don't think anybody outside of Donald Trump is that cold and calculating. I've been married 28 years. Have all the guns I could ever want. Only thing is - she doesn't know which guns are mine, and which ones belong to customers. And those customer guns all need thorough testing before they are returned . . .

BC, I was going to say that’s pretty harsh but I guess to each his own. Glad to see you were just kidding.

BC, I've been with the third one 38yrs. The first was Hawaiian, the second
was Rican and the third is Tar Heel from NC. You got to know when to hold
them and you got to know when to fold them

I tried the pointing out the retained value in a fine rifle, but I always end up taking a bath on trade-ins and ups and then she quotes how much we lost in the deal so I stopped doing that. I have a buddy that is so intimidated by his that when he buys a gun, I keep it at my house for a while till things cool down. The down side is that my wife thinks it's mine. Oldelk is right about one thing though, a little kindness and understanding (along with begging and groveling) work fine.

You don't come home with ONE rifle, you always come home with TWO.
"Look what I bought HONEY, and hey it was just a good deal I bought
you one too." Then when you want to use it, you ask HEY HONEY can I
barrow your rifle? The bad thing is when she says No and you can't yours either!
My buddy has the same problem, because his wife is the one out hunting w/ her gun. We quit going hog hunting w/ her because she is so fast nobody else ever got a chance to shoot. The problem is she can shoot better than most men I know.
