Lightening a Marlin .17/.22 trigger..

Does anyone know a good link that would show you how to lighten a Marlin .17/.22 trigger? I have both now and the triggers could use work. Don't see the point of spending $80-$100 on a new trigger for a $150 gun..

http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums...t=17vs+trigger

or if you have the new t900 or whatever trigger it looks like this

remove the bottome cclip and the trigger comes out. with the lighter spring there will be slop in the trigger so make shims. i made mine out of pop cans at first and had one on each side i then got some brass shim stock and shimed it with that to tigten it up even more.

thanks for the info. I am getting a new .17HMR marlin (alot like your in the pictures, if not the same one). My coach is a machinist so shimming won't be a problem.
