..Take your time young hunter,practice alot with the rifle
you will be useing,place that bullet in the vitals heart lung
area,and the deer is yours,but make a good steady shot,practice
steady shooting..Good luck...:)...

The 243 Win will do its part if you do your part and put the bullet in the vitals. Like totoe said, practice, pratice, practice, then go practice some more.

Yes, it will!! My daughter-in-law kills elk with her .243!!

perfectly fine, as long as you can shoot, make sure you can hit a 6 inch disk at your max distance from a field position

Hey--a .22 LR would do the job, if one puts the bullet in the right place. Poachers use .22 LRs, so don't you use one!

To echo what everyone else has said, if you do your part and get the bullet into the vitals, yes, a .243 will work. The main thing to do is . . . PRACTICE!!!!
