My equipment has worked very well for 48 years of hunting. My lady has has worked out even better for 37 years as of the 31st of this month.:D. By golly when somethig works, why change it? I must do quite a few things right or must be the luckies guy on the planet because I have never seen any of the nightmare failings of equipment that I read about here. One thing for sure, its not because of a lack of oppertunity to fail because I have been and avid if not Rabid shooter and hunter since my Granpa bought me my first bb gun at age six. I was an avid sucktion cup dart gun shooter before that and a rubber band shooter before that.:D

Like BC, I fully understand that different folks view things different. We grew up poorer than dirt and had to make do with nothing to do everything. I take more pride in saving a hundred bucks than I do but having something fancy to look at. I did pretty well in life and thanks to a
an uncle I got to hunt almost everywhere that there are critters. I could have got nicer equipment many times but some things are hard to change. I have quite a few hunter friends who view thing more like most of you and I respect the way they do things. They often shake their heads at the way I do things but we get along fine.:D They can't argue with my success hunting.

The one time I did lay out some big bucks for a rifle (Weatherby Mark Five), It was the biggest POS that I ever owned. That was about the end of my big dollar guns. My uncle left me a couple Sako rifles but they are do pretty to take outside. I have shot them but never took them out in the field. One of these days I am going to give them to his son who he didn't speak to at the time of his death. I better quit rambling.
