Still another one for the optics forum

Was at a different gun shop the other day,Saw a trashco ( sorry I could not help that ;))something( I think it was 12) X 36 X56 for $90 .I think I might just get it .I know Tasco's got a bad rep .But I can remember years ago when things were really tight I had a Tasco 3X9X40 on a model 788 carbine and could put a hole in a hole at 100 yards all day.I am thinking about going ahead and picking it up just for kicks and giggles.Might try it on everything I have ....LOL You think I might could hit something at 25yds. with it on the 540X:DWhada you guy's think?

Odd - many moons ago I had a Tasco 3-9x, also set up on a Remington 788. It was a
243Win. The scope was fine. I shot a few antelope, a few mule deer (multiple hits required), and many many prairie dogs :D
This setup was one of the most accurate rifles I've ever owned, but honestly, I think the
rifle had a lot more to do with it. Those 788's were tack drivers!

I have a Tasco Mag four 6x24x50 and its a very good scope. I just have it on a NEF 243. I have an old Tascoe World Class straight 4X that I have had for many years thats a great scope.
