so what do I get when I win?

next year you need to think this thing out a little more. better rules like the dates and i think it should be your top 5 or 10 bass of the year instead of just the biggest. teams might be neat. also, by the time we are "allowed" to post pics in 6 months noone will remember the contest. i'd rather have a running list of all the entries top catch (or catches). and get to see the photos as we go. how interesting would the deer contest have been if no on could post there pics till january? not very.

im a catch and release guy and my scale had dead batteries but heres a 5.5lb'er I caught last month. appx 22" long and healthy. caught on a camo bitsy flip and yum trailer Jan 3rd.

us Yankees are going to have trouble besting those big Rebel bass but i think a solid 6 or 7 lb bass could do it

Going to be tough on us Northerners. 7 pound largey and 5 pound smally are about the limit as far as my lake is concerned. One thing we do have is quantity. You can put together a 12-20 pound bag of 5 fish most days. Pretty easy to catch and release 50 to 100 fish a day and many are in the 3+ pound range. Our bass season starts the second sat in June but we are catching them like crazy through the ice and returning them of course. The catch and release time period for open water fishing is April 9 through June 10.
