RE: Bleeding Bait Hooks

Yes fish do see in color and red is one of the colors that they see the best. I went to the red worm hooks last year and they certainly didn't do any harm. I am going to continue using them this year.

They did research on those hooks and supposedly they caught more fish. I'll stick with the plain hooks though. Don't need em:D

At bassmaster university, i asked the pros about this. Larry Nixon doesnt believe in them he said but when his boat partner whacks them with a red hook, he'll believe it. Davy Hite thinks its kinda hit or miss with them. Iaconelli uses them in clearer water where the fish can see it. usually he uses black hooks but will use red when its clear, hhe thinks they work. Mike auten felt about the same way. George Cochran thinks they work, he went into detail about it too. just their opinions on the subject

I haven't caught anymore fish, but if you are catching a decent amount with the red hooks, it wears off real fast and they still hit it. I dont think they hurt any but they don't help much IMO so I use regular hooks.
