Rubber worms work very good around weedy structure for me, floating rapalas work good, nightcrawlers, and minnoews are hard to beat from docks, i fish bass with almost every lure imaginable but that stuff is my go to baits, and i like early- midmorning and evening the best for bass. Topwaters like zara spooks are also good baits.

Boy am I glad someone asked this question.
I've been having a wonderful time with a Zara Spook, top water plug. The brown one works well and so does the white one.
I also have caught a bunch on a black/blue jig 'n pig.
My buddy has caught a gazillion bass on a dark blue Yamamoto Senko. I'm going to try that tomorrow. I forgot to take them with me tonight.
I also like a chartreuse (sp), medium dive, crank bait.
I prefer to fish for bass in the evening, the last two-three hours before dark.
Before this year I had never caught a bass on a white colored spinnerbait. But I'm doing quite well with it now.
Good luck.
