Fish Finder Recommendations

My Eagle fishfinder was dropped on a concrete floor, don't ask, and I cracked the screen and other assorted problems. Therefore, I'm looking for a new machine. I've narrowed my choices down to the Garmin 240 and the Lowrence X-71. Anyone have an opinion on either machine? I plan to use it entirely in freshwater while trolling for salmon and trout. Thnk you in advance.

I would say go with the Garmin, but I will tell you one thing, you cant go wrong with a Hummingbird. We have had ours for around 15 years and there has never been a problem, we are getting a new Hummingibrd this summer, only because we wan't something more up to date.

P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)
