What the heck did you do buy it at the fish store behind you?? Good size crappie. Us NYers don't have that opportunity. At least not this one.

On a serious note, I need to get my scanner working. I had the day of my life three years ago. Caught 3 crappie at or a little over 3lbs. Four of them were over 18 inches. The biggest was 22 inch.. The biggest was the lake record. I should have had him mounted, but I was camping and hunger. Well you can guess the rest of the story.

I have been catfishing since I was knee high and have never seen cats that big! Here in Idaho we have the channels, blues, flatheads, and bullheads. On occasion you might here a cat being around 15-20pounds as being big.

RE: Big Crappie?

that is a nice crappie for your part of the country.however, here in MS. we call that size a "slab" and our state record is over 5#.i believe those catfish may have come from MS. also.they look familar.;)
http://www.braggingpost.com/Fish/Catfish/index.htm these were caught in MS. AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE CAMERA CORNER AT BRAGGINGPOST.COM
