Default Daughters first

My daughter, only two, got her first fish this past weekend. She was having trouble setting the hook, but finally managed to get one.

She insisted that we eat it so we kept three fish and had lunch on Monday. She wanted to hold it for the picture, even after it "bit her" although you can see the concern on her face.

What a fun time.

Having trouble getting pictures to attach... will try to attach them in the next post from my phone.

She insisted on holding it for the picture because she wants to be on my picture wall. I've got a wall in the garage with 8X10s from various hunting trips, motorcycle trips, ultra marathons, etc. And she know her brother has a fish picture there.

Here's her and her brother with fish

Great pictures. Nice to start them young. Fishing is such a good way to introduce kids to the outdoors because it can be done anywhere that there is a stream, pond, lake or ocean.

Way to go! It's a wonderful thing to include daughters in our outdoor activities. My married daughter is 40 now and she still insists on a fishing trip with me every year when her family visits. We leave her husband and kids at home. It's a special time for us.

It is great to take any of the young ones out. They learn to love fishing and this summer I will be taking my granddaughter out for her first fishing trip. I am hoping to hit a school of white perch when we go out in the boat..
