Default Wire size for trolling motor.

I have a 55lb thrust that supposedly pulls about 55 amps at 12 volts. Running all new wire and want the right size.

It's pre-wired with 10awg, but that would only be 30 amps. I run it hard constantly for bowfishing, and the wires/connections get warm.

#8 or #6? Thoughts?
