Ducks/Fish

Duck hunting really sucked on Tuesday because of the heat so I started fishing and got 2 Northern Pike 36" long and had another one substancialy<sp> larger one that snaped the pole right after hookset. After the shock wore off I started to horse it in. I got a good look at his mouth(much larger than the 36" I kept I ripped him up pretty bad) then he got cought up in the stringer and broke the leader.

Kind of an expensive day with $20 in bate and tackel and a $60 rod broke. But what fun.

Over all boated about 10 other smaller Pike and one 5 lb Bass.

Have had better days on that pond but good over all

Sounds like a blast. Too bad the duck hunting wasn' t better. I always take a rod in the early season too!
