That does look almost like two different fish.The head and mouth are way to small for a ten pound large mouth.

thanks Gangly, good to see your still here, i may be in your area next month, the tomball/magnoilia area, then a couple of days up at fork, i'd love to meet you, i could drive over to spring...i'll let you know when it gets closer

Definitely, give me a holler (PM) a week or so in advance of when you'll be down here. Its starting prespawn on Conroe right now. I have never fished Conroe during spawn or prespawn so I am not sure where they will be, but if your in the area we can hit the water to see what we can find

They will be in shallow structure..{-; pads, brush, grass cattails..rock piles...that's my guess. you two will get along likes peas and carrots.{-;

i used to fish conroe about 3-5 times a week, i spent most of my time up-river, i always liked fishing peach creek the first jungle, any thing past the 1097 bridge, but know the lake well, from one end to the other....not sure how much time i'll be in the houston/tomball area, even if we didn't get to fish i'd like to meet ya and maybe buy your dinner....i will let you know when it gets closer...take care, and get on some of those texas lunker's

All my fishing has been south of 1097 for the most part haha. If you do get to fish, it wold be great to try out he north end. If not we can definitely meet up either way and I look forward to it!
