Northan lures
 
what is your favrote northan lure. i use smelt in the winter and early spring summer and fall dare devils and big crank baits and big twister tails work for me

Slip float, with a big old creek chub or sucker chub on the hook. I also like topwater baits for some occasions. But you just can't beat a good old hook, float and sinker when catching gators.

for me i caught most of mine on a simple spinnre bait (like the $1 from walmart) make sure to put a 4" grub on it... that's the most important part of it. use steel leader also.. i also caught pike on a small crankbait by rebel. other than that a couple on mepps and just various other lures..

When I'm ice fishing I use suckers. In the summer I catch all of my pike on a long blue jointed rapala,or something a non-jointed one.
