I am glad to hear you released her, but I know if it was caught up here it would surely be put on the wall. It would be real rare to catch one of that size up here. Congrats on your sportsmanship of releqasing her for another day of fishing!!

I was going out after some perch this morning but they had called for rain. I did not see a need to get soaked in 30 to 40 degree temps. It has not rained yet and the wind has been pretty heavey.. Prolly give them a try tomorrow after I get back from a meeting.. I will be taking the jeep down into it as it is hard to get to. Maybe get lucky and land a huge bass.. It will be good just to get out there anyways. Then back after a laker or 2..

I hear ya sir...good luck on those perch..they are delicious..I did good patterning the 870 Remington yesterday..The top performance shell was the 3 1/2 inch magnum #4 shot Remington Nitroes.I patterned her at 30 yds.

..My speed 6 Ruger 2 inch barrel revolver did a fine job as well at 45 feet..I scored 43 out of a possilbe 50.

Yes turkey hunting for you is just around the corner.. We still have until the end of April for our season to open up. I thought about taking my Remington 1100 Mag but decided I will use the same shotgun I used last year again.. It is a single shot Ithica with a 3 foot barrel and I have never pattern that shotgun before. You can rest asured though it kills on both ends.. LOL When I was a youngster I used to goose hunt with it. Once I tried them I never hunted them again. Except to give one to an uncle. Then I retired it until last year and the results were the same. I just use the 3inch Super-X loads in #6 shot. That still packs a wallup and lays the turkeys down. 2 shots and 2 birds last year though one was a bearded Jake during the last few days of the hunt.

I have been disappointed the past few days, we went from ice out to 70*. Water temps are just below 40* and I can not get the bass going yet. Maybe next week.

Ok...so what is next? Honestly,I feel a monkey is off my back. I can now use some different lures and relax a little and fish for fun..

God bless all of you ..and I hope all of you get a personal best this year...but most importantly enjoy the fellowship with your creator in the quietness of the outdoors.
