The photo doesn't do it justice as the actual mount looks short and fat..The man did measure though and it's 25 inches...he has the end of the bass sticking out in front to giveiot character but in the photo...LOL I'm not seeing it..
Thde rod abouve her is an antique still rod with a 1943 Pflueger baitcaster on it...I have a skin mount done by the same man in 1983 That bass was also 25 inches but only 7 pounds,,,I had caught in off the shore while on my way to church..It was my first cast..the bass was hung up in hydrilla..I waded out in 3 foot of weeds to get my bass in my Sunday church outfit..LOL

Summary..looks much better as the real deal

Herels the 7 pounder and 10 pounder together..

Looks very good Chuck! I have a sea trout replica that looks better than a skin mount. The best is: 1) the fish lives to brighten someone else's day and the mount lasts forever!

Me too. Probably my favorite meal of the day. My day isn't ready to start until I've had several cups of coffee and some breakfast!

I happen to like your new mount much better as it does not look so yellow colored. Also as stated the big bass lives for another day. Hopefully you will get lucky and hook into her again in a couple of more years. Then she will be even heaveier than what she is now.. Both mounts look great though and thanks for sharing with us all..

Live and learn.....

The 7 pounder ..I can put my fist in the fishes mouth...the " 10 pounder" I can not..the fish actually looks like an 8 1/2 pounder..I should know I catch a lot of good fish..The man is a devout Christian,..I ask for a refund...

He said I was the first to ever ask for one..and all he does is order the fiberglass blank..and he paints them..kind of like one size fits all WRONG!!!! in my 10 pound pic I can nearly put 2 fist in the fishes mouth..and in my pic the head is nearly the size of the fattest part of the fish..in the fiberglass blank the fish has no lower jaw...and my fist will not even start to go inside his mouth,..not good..

HOWEVER;;he said if I drive to his house I will get 200.00 back .I'm happy and will gladly make the 1 1/2 hour drive..this SAt..Iwill stop by Bass Pro on the way home..need some broadheads and worm rattles..thanks for being nice guys but if you look back at my 10 pounder...no comparason what so ever..honestly..the fish looks like a chunky 8 1/2 pounder..

I can see what you mean about that lower jaw being short. I still like the color of it better though. It most likely will get yellower after a while as well though. I am sorry it never did any justice for you. However, I am glad to hear that he will give you a 100% refund on your money.

If you happen to have any pics of it by itself as you were bringing it out of the water. You could get one blown up to near a real life size pic of it. That could take somewhat of a place for the mount. I would have it inscribe to say how big it is as well as caught by Chuck and the date it was caught.
