Default Bass Jackpot Today [photo heavy]

Today was the day. Here is the breakdown.

Turkey scouted this morning, got permission on a dime piece of property. Three strutters in the field when I left.

Got home around 11, ate some lunch and decided I wanted to try some of my new bass equipment.

I've caught some small ones this time of year, but never big ones. I've learned alot of from fishing tournaments the last year and I think I proved it to myself.

My second cast with my crankin' rod, my rainbow Azuma got smoked but didn't get a hookset. I seen the fish turn and head under a dock. I quickly grabbed my quantum smoke flippin' stick and pitched a black and red omega jig. Picked it up twice and hit a brick wall. After nothing short of an absolute battle, I landed one of the largest Bass of my life.

23.5" and 6.43 pounds.

After the pictures were said and done and the fish was happily released, I keyed on underwater structure and pulled out another dandy.

About 20" and 4.23 pounds.

I managed to land numerous bass on both the jig and cranks. What a day.

I sure could have put together an incredible five fish bag today.

Awesome dude. I went out today and only took my fly rods. No bass but a ton of nice size and small bluegill

13.11 would blow the MI state record out of the water.

Congrats Buckhunter!! Nice fishing and you most likely will beat me in the largemouth arena.. I only know of two lakes up here that have any largemouths in them.. But I will see what I can do after the ice leaves us..

Great Fish BuckHunter14!!!

Hopefully the good fishing isnt done for you yet and you still get a few more nice ones. Our spawn is coming to a close and most of the big girls have come off the beds and are now holding out deeper a little bit. Again, congrats on the great bass and hopefully they keep hitting good for you.

If the temps cool down as they are supposed to, our spawn is a good month off. Can't wait to get out again.
