I allot approximately $50 a month to fishing, and thats including tackle. Luckily, I dont have to travel far for most of the spots that I fish now and so almost everything goes towards tackle. In the past I have had to travel upwards of 15 minutes to fish and the gas would have affected the number of days that I fished, but not so much now. If I lose my spots and start having to travel farther, then yeah, the gas would definately eat into my fishing budget.

Most of my spots are within 2-7 miles away...but my favorite is 80 miles away..I will be limited to that spot..

I have a lake in my back yard; however, the river where I fish for white bass is a 30 minute drive, and same for trout. It will impact my driving considerably, but mostly because my wife no longer has a paycheck coming in.

No impact for me, I plan to actually travel farther to fish this year.
