Default Oh its starting!

I may have gotten a late start to the tourney, but I started my fishing early this year (also took an accidental dip in the creek last week, its still COLD) but I did manage three fish in about an hour/ Two of them were real nice fish, about 3 lbs. apeice. the other one was a nice 1.5 lb chunker. All fish were caught on a Black and blue bitsy jig with a trailer. No secrets there, I can tell ya what to fish, its your job to catch em on it. Goin out tomorrow for some lake fish, try my luck with them since the 2 in of rain we jsut got is gonna ruin my river fishin for a week or two. here is some pics for yall.

My better half with a nice one

Hahah, thanks guys.
I still got a while before I start flipping here Chuck, but I am ready for it.

My arm healed up fine buddy, no more problems out of it, and it feels great, not playing ball since I started college, i am sure I couldve played for a smaller school, but honestly I was never gonna go pro with it, so I decided to settle down and go to a D-1 University. I will still play in small leagues around here though, still cant throw anywhere near as hard as I used to. I know I am in over my head haha, but she is a good girl and I enjoy every minute with her, she is turning into a good fishing partner.

I am headed to the power plant lake tomorrow, heard the bass are in pre-spawn out there and are biting fairly good, so I am gonna go see what its all about tomorrow. Ill report back in then!

..thinking about charging my batter..my church service is over at 8 :15 AM..you got me biting at the bit.

I fish at a power plant lake as well..and they are pre-spawning....a cold front just past by...wife has been very ill...think I'll stay home..decisions ..decisions

Oneshot...on my B B TIps I have a knot link..can you see if your knot you were talking about is one of those knots..

WOuld your knot happen to be the Double Uni Knot..I know a llot of guides use that knot..Would Vanish hold up on fish wrapping up around reeds?..I have no rocks where I fish

here's the link..the double Uni knot is not there but the rest are..see if one of your knots is not on there..? Thanks

http://www.animatedknots.com/bloodknot/index.php

when you click on the link..note there are 14 different knots on the left side..if you want to learn the knot..hover over the number below the animation..the knot tying will stop ..

Kind of hard for me to follow..but here's the flouro carbon knot that alot of pros use..

Report from yesterday:
Got out on the lake, fishing out of my comfort zone for most of the day, got set up in a popular ditch that gets fished a lot, it has the warmest water in the lake since it feeds directly from the powerplant into the lake. We managed two fish out of there, nothing big. Headed out into what is know as the third lake (dike system divideds the lake into 8 parts) Fished some deep drops and missed a couple but nothing big. Head all the way to the seventh lake (water gets colder as you get farther away from the first lake, so different patterns in different lakes) Fished some rocks, my partner caught two dinks. Well after fishing out of our comfort zone (our good pattern doesnt really start until beginning of March really) we decided to try fishing the main flat in the 1st lake and see if the pre-spawn fish are pulling up to feed. We had two bites, I caught mine, and it turned out to be a nice little chunk, just a shade over 4 lbs and the fattest fish I have seen by far. Caught him on a Shim-e-Shad by strike king (cheaper senko)
