Aaron,
What time was it when you caught your fish ?
How deep was the water.?
Thanks,
New Moon is Tues..this weekend has hopes..
Our area will be cold 41 going to 70 in the afternoon..
Studies say this pattern makes bass start off deep/structure and then move to the shoreline in the warm afternoon ,,,

Temp was 66, low that morning was in the mid 30's.
2nd day of post frontal weather, bluebird skies.
Caught the first around 1:55 and the second around 2:00pm.
Both were tight against an underwater laydown in about 5-7 feet of water.
Visbility was approximately 3 feet.
Caught a third on an Ol' Monster worm last night about 5:50 (sun had already set but the sky was still bright enough to see) in roughly the same spot but not as tight to the laydown as the others. I wasnt fishing the jig or the worm extremely slow, more of a slow drag with abbreviated small hops here and there for the jig. For the worm, I did a slow lift of the rod with very small undulations in rod action, then reel in the slack and repeat.
The jig bites occured while the jig was in motion while the worm bite occured while I was reeling up the slack. I had a few other bites on the worm and they were mostly while I was reeling up the slack after the first or second "lift", but they weren't hard taps and I set the hook into nothing so I assume they had the tail of the worm or it was a bluegill messing with it.

I was using 30lb Power Pro with a Berkley Vanish 14lb leader (approx 2 feet) for the jig. The worm was on 12lb Trilene Big Game. I dont usually use a leader unless the water is exceptionally clear because the bottom bumping lures such as jigs and worms get buried in the weeds around here and braid has never adversely affected my results in that situation. I was anticipating super clear waters but the water was slightly dingy.
Also, that was the first time I ever used rattles on a jig successfully.

Rubber. the hippy jig is made of round rubber and hair and is a very large profile jig that I have done well with this winter. The round rubber expands and moves around constantly even with the jig not moving at all. I primarily use the pond series spinner baits because I prefer a medium sized spinnerbait and the option to choose blade type is a great benefit.
